Outschool offers live online classes for K-12 students, and is seeking passionate teachers to lead engaging classes across all ages and subjects - not only ESL English. Most classes take place in small groups of students, and are based on live meetings using video chat.

Teach What You Want

Outschool offers classes in all subjects, for all ages, and in multiple formats. Outschool offers semester-long classes as well as shorter introductory classes. If you have a class that you would like to teach you can submit a short proposal and Outschool will work with you to refine and publish it. Outschool will help fill the class and handle all the logistics.

Create Your Own Classes and Curricula

For each offered class, teachers will need to provide an overview of the class, including the subject matter, teaching methods and the knowledge and skills students will take away. Be creative and design your curriculum to teach the way you want. Work with motivated learners who have chosen to be at your class. Spend your time on teaching, and not on bureaucratic paperwork.

Teach When You Want

Outschool works with students across all global timezones, as well as also many homeschooling families, so you are able to hold classes on weekdays, evenings and at weekends according to your schedule.

Earnings (Compensation)

Earnings (Compensation) depend on the popularity of the class and the class size. Typically teachers charge around $12-$15 per hour per student, and a class may have 3-9 students. Some teachers earn up to $80+ per hour once they have built up a following.

Teacher Qualifications

Outschool teachers should:

• - Have teaching experience
• - Have strong computer skills
• - Have a broadband internet connection
• - Have an engaging teaching style
• - Have passion and expertise in their chosen topics
• - Be FULL-TIME RESIDENT in the following countries: US or Canada ONLY and will need to pass a background check.
